Areas of possible research interest .

1.  Broad Research/Project Interest Area:

Short description of the area of IT that interests you (explain it to me!)
Why is it interesting to you?
Block chain Technology is a database consisting of financial transactions that are saved on multiple computers at various locations and interests me as it engages in monetary transaction without the need for a central clearing authority and applicants are able to transfer funds, settle trade and many other financial transactions, the most interesting fact about Block chain technology is that it is unhackable.

Three things you know about it:
1.     Block chain Technology is a database consisting of financial transactions that are saved on multiple computers at various locations
2.     Not centralized unlike most traditional forms of payments which are centralized.
3.     Once something has been entered into the block chain it cannot be tampered with because it uses a cryptographic hashes. In the context of payments, input anansmd out puts run through a hashing algorithm which gives it an output of fixed length and fixed size.
Three things you believe about it:
1.     Block chain is a revolutionary technology as it helps reduce risk, fraud and brings transparency in a measurable way for myriad uses.
2.     Securable Information cannot be added, removed or changed without being detected by other users.
3.     Ease of use

Three things you don’t know about it
1.     How to invest in Block chain stocks
2.     About private block chain services and developing tools.
3.     How to hack Block chain(Hacking a block chain is closely impossible)

Would you rather:
Do something, Research it or Do both
I would like to both Research as well as implement it, rather than just sticking into either researching or doing it without any knowledge which would eventually result in having partial knowledge where either my knowledge would be pure theory without any practical experience or pure practical experience without any knowledge in theory. While research helps identify and analyze data and information doing it helps to practically apply the research in real life scenarios to obtain real results and learning which would eventually lead into new discoveries

Go and see if you can find a few resources about it - (post URL) forum? facebook group?
linkedin group? Or a good blog? Or even academic articles

  • This Instragram page has lot of updated information about bitcoin technology, I have been following for so long:
AND - APA reference them in your write-up.

  • This is documentation I found through LinkedIn post and really worth of reading about block chain architecture:

2. Identifying a possible project

Construct 10 (interesting!) questions about your topic
Identify three good questions/ideas

  1. What is the current situation or problem that needs a solution?
  2. How can the solution be addressed in a project?
  3. Is the project feasible?
  4. What are the goals of the project?
  5. Who will get the benefit?
  6. What is the time frame for the completion of the project?
  7. What kind of resources it will need?
  8. What is the budget of the project?
  9. Will the problem be solved at the end of the project?
  10. What actions are to be taken if there are errors or delays in the project?

If you get stuck for questions try using a different start word-
Who, How, When, Why, What, Where or maybe even   if or what else …

For each of these 3 suggest what you could do to answer/explore it.
What is the current situation or problem that needs a solution?
Data relevant to the research should be collected, such as statistics with regard to the number of people facing the problem, any previous solutions given, their advantages and disadvantages, justification of the critical need for a solution, details of risks faced if a solution is not found.

What is the budget of the project?
Identify all costs related to the completion of the project, prepare budgets on costs of purchasing hardware and any other materials relevant to the success of the project.

What actions are to be taken if there are errors or delays in the project?
Setting up miles stones during the process of the project in order to identify whether the project is been processed on time, setting up targets and goals.

What is the fundamental goal underlying each of the 3 questions?
The goal of the questions is to ensure that the project is completed successfully on a timely manner according to the planned budget and that there would not be any deviations in the results.
